I first learned of the VW Corrado when I was just a Junior in High School. I studied the Corrado along with its origin and its history and admired its strong European bodylines and its innovative technology. I knew that the Corrado was way ahead of its time and this sparked a fire in my soul to get one of my own.
By my Senior year, I finally had my first Corrado and I also realized that I had my work cut out for me. The interior was in excellent condition but the exterior reflected years of wear and tear. I discovered Bahn Brenner shortly after purchasing my Corrado and it awakened an interest to start making modifications to what I felt was perfection.
John Betz and his team at Bahn Brenner have all become good friends of mine and over the years they have helped me achieve many of my ideas and projects for my Corrado. I originally had no desire to race my Corrado. I was more interested in creating a “Show Car”. But after getting behind the wheel and hearing the Super Charger Spool up and feeling the adrenaline rush from the quick acceleration of all my modifications, the need to race has not only become a passion of mine, but a dream with a destination that is all too clear to me now.
The Corrado for me is the Catalyst for speed and adrenaline. It is the pinnacle of passion, desire and the satisfaction of being behind the wheel. This project for me has become an accomplished goal and it was worth every bead of sweat and every restless night dreaming of just this day.
