I bought the car for $550 with the intent to paint it and make a quick buck. I have owned MK1's before but never one that ran and drove. As soon as I started driving it to work I knew I would end up keeping it. The longer I owned it the more I realized the PO had known a thing or two about VW's. There were modifications that I hadn't noticed until I did some research on the car. Shortly after I needed a brake job and when I went to SK to have them installed, there was a full suspension for a rabbit sitting in the corner next to some Recaro seats. Needless to say I left with all of it. I am having a 16v installed by SK Motorsport in the next few months and may go turbo shortly after that. But not before I repaint the car again, same scheme, but, I will shave the side signals, trunk lock, and antannae. I paint and do body work for a living so its only a matter of time.
